What do Anarchy, Oakland and Foot Locker have in common?
By dan | July 10, 2010
So this time, up in Oakland, some police officer gets convicted of voluntary manslaughter. As evidenced by the anarchy in this video, the sentence was too light, or so these angry individuals say which is why they take it upon themselves to take it all out on local businesses such as Foot Locker.
Let me say by what I see none of these people are protesting any imbalance of justice. They simply seized upon an opportunity to pillage anything they could get their crack-pipe smoke stained fingers on.
The shoes? Many will sell them cheap to a friend or neighbor, or maybe you’ll see vast quantities reaching the ebay auction website. You won’t see the loss of these shoes making one iota of difference in this case or making anything right in the eyes of the people stealing them.
Worst part about all of this is that the people committing these acts are driven by a desire to fuel anarchy in America. They don’t want to make anything right or better. Why should they?
