I can dream can’t I?
Good evening readers. Thank you for your time. I know your time is valuable and I do sincerely thank you. Let not my rambling detour you from your goal and I do hope that would be to stay current with all that’s happening in our great remarkable country.
I was thinking the other day about the guy, the sports figure, in front of Congress about to be prosecuted for lying to them about his steroid usage. I hear he could be facing 30 years for what he lied about.
Lying to Congress is considered worse than killing someone? I have heard of killers getting much less time. Any way, I support the law since that is the law.
Then I reflected back on a time when a certain president was delivering his presentation to Congress in 2009 on Health Care …remember the one where Joe Wilson yelled out, “You Lie!”?
That was when the H.C. plan was said to reduce the US deficit, not add to it, not cost more, it was heaven on earth, right?
All reports now say that is not true. Reports were coming out just after that speech saying there was no way this plan would save anything.
Now if the presentation, and by extension – the presenter, lied, then that was a lie to Congress and no less a lie to all the American People.
How many years would that lie be worth? Well, maybe none for those who are always blaming Bush. Speaking of Ex-President Bush, oh yes the one who with the Honorable Miss Speaker Pelosi led Congress which helped push the car into the ditch …yes that one. He’ll get the blame for 4 years.
He deserves it because now again with the help of the Honorable Miss Speaker Pelosi leading Congress, the innocent President Obama
has pulled the car out of the ditch.
We thank the innocent President for pulling our collective economic car out of the ditch.
The trouble and the problem is that after they pulled our collective economic car out of the ditch they then proceeded with tying us all collectively up and stuffing us in the backseat – pushing us into the lake next to the ditch.
Americans are resilient. We are ingenious. We will find a way out.
Keep the faith my friends.
