Are Gas Prices Low?

By dan | October 19, 2008

Lots of people I talk to ask the question “why are gas prices going so low now?” Really friends, I need to respond with another question “are gas prices low?”

This same time last year oxy fuels (unleaded gas) cost about a dollar less than it is now. Back then when the price began to increase you complained about gas costing too much.

Now unleaded gas prices are low you say? The mass media certainly did their number on you friends. I don’t mean that in an offensive way. I just want you to see how much you have changed your opinion.

In retrospect of when unleaded regular spilled over the $4.00 per gallon mark – yes, the gas prices today are lower. I think the cost per gallon goal we should reach for is $0.25 cents per gallon. We do still have a long ways to go.

In comparison to that goal unleaded gas still costs entirely way too much.
