Right here right now there is no other place I want to drill.
Beck’s Restoring Honor Rally Upstages Sharpton’s Remember King March
By dan | August 29, 2010
Well, that’s my spin in that title. Actually,I don’t think for one minute Mr. Beck gives a poop about what was happening with Sharpton’s march. I don’t think most anyone else did either since the turnout for Sharpton’s march must have been sickly, no mention of the Sharpton march numbers were made in 2 AP reports I’ve read.
Now what’s so predictable is the crud I heard this morning from critics talking on Meet The Press. Some bobble headed woman, I didn’t care to learn her name, claimed Beck was wrong such that his message included faith but lacked any directive to act. Foolish lady she is, she obviously did not watch the Restoring Honor Rally to the end. Mr. Beck directed all patriots attending and the over 125,000 live stream Facebook viewers to “Pick up your stick” in reference to Moses who carried a large stick when he freed the Jews from Egyptian captivity.
What’s really going to be hard for the left stream media to do this time is to try and distort things out of context. They’ll try but they’ll fail.
Another oddity is how the left stream is mentioning Alveda King very sparingly. That tells me they are more afraid of Beck and Palin.
Now – back to the rally… even though news reporters have referred to the rally likening it to a Christian Revival, I think I made that reference first on my Facebook page but who cares about that. I got to a point in the rally where God’s Spirit certainly was touching everyone myself included. There may have been some non-believers there and watching on their pc’s who weren’t touched but wait a while.
10 minutes into the program I was near tears. The entire program had me on the edge of tears. I know Glenn Beck felt it too. A couple times he began to speak and you could hear the tears welling up inside brought out in his speaking manner. The guy is a good speaker, not just on the radio but as a preacher because wouldn’t you know I didn’t see any teleprompter and he did not write a speech. You could tell he may have had some bullet points written down. 98% of his speech came from his heart and was on the spot. How can I tell? I speak the same way, impromptu is what it’s called.
There was nothing racist or political implied any time. As a matter of fact, Sharpton is the one it seems trying to stoke the flames of racism with his comment about “them people complained when we marched in civil rights marches. Now they are trying to march.” That is not a verbatim quote but it’s close.
First of all Mr. Sharpton, do you include Alveda King in with your characterization of the Beck rally attendees? Also referring to them as “Them people?” What people Mr. Sharpton? White people?
No Mr. Sharpton, you are too far out there. I bet few if any of the people at the Beck rally were there with you during your civil right marches in the 1960′s. They were probably just kids at the time. Mr. Sharpton is losing it. He may have a small number of devoted followers but he is becoming so irrelevant he attempts any chance he gets to try to stoke racist outrage.
Now one truly remarkable thing happened… right around the time when over 200 different denominational leaders walked on stage and stood arms locked together. I don’t know how many different faiths were represented but is it not peculiar there were no muslim leaders?
No it’s not that peculiar at all. Most learned people know if you are Jew or Gentile, (*gentile includes any faith not Jewish except muslim.), muslims cannot intermingle with you.
So there you have it. This is just this one guy’s opinion of course.
Have a great rest of your Sunday. For many school is starting back up during the next couple weeks. Hang in there moms and dads. Fall break is coming soon.
